The Kabbalah (The Architecture of Creation)

The Kabbalah itself, is a grouping of Jewish mystical traditions, which were made up long before Christ, and which has been the inspiration for great philosophical movements such as Gnosticism and Pythagorean numerology. Kabbalah, in Hebrew tradition, could also be translated as acceptance or receive. As a system of mystical and allegorical interpretation of the Torah - Christians call it the Pentateuch and it represents the first five books of the Christian Bible - they are a series of texts where you can find the meaning of the world and the truth. The objective is to interpret the hidden meanings of these five books and find, through an arduous search, the revelation or illumination -to come to understand the reality that surrounds us-. For the Kabbalistic Jews, all the present equivalents are housed in the mind of the human being and in the universe and in turn the alphabet contains the equivalent of the human mind. Therefore, for Kabbalists the language of man is the description of creation, and the Torah contains all the texts to be interpreted. There are many combinations that can be given to create other worlds and other realities. For them the name of Yahweh is formed by all the letters that make up the Hebrew alphabet, and that this in turn has multiple forms. God or Yahweh used letters to shape the universe through their sephirot. The key symbol of the kabbalah is the tree of life that provides a blueprint for creation. By moving through the spheres of the tree of life, the Kabbalist can become more aware of the true nature of existence. The Kabbalah Tree is represented in a distribution of 10 + 1 spheres on three parallel pillars: Pillar of the Left or Pillar of Severity, the Central Pillar or Pillar of Balance and the Pillar of the Right or Pillar of Mercy.

The spheres are called Sephiroth - Sephira in the singular - which translates as wonderful lights. These sephiroth could be interpreted as facets of the divine personality. The highest sphere Kether symbolises divine glory; the lowest Malkuth symbolises the material world in which the divine light is dimmer and denser. Under Kether there is a non-sphere called Daat that symbolises collective knowledge. This means the abyss, the void, the turning point between form or finite and non-form or infinity. To reach the sphere of Daat is to achieve unification with the divine, therefore, to achieve enlightenment, the end for all teachers, sages and mystics. Each sephira is usually numbered in the order in which God’s ray descends to create the world, which is the same numbering that is used by the Europeanised Hermetic Kabbalah. In the Tree of Kabbalah there are also various combinations between the sephira that give as result these 3 triangles:

Triangle of Love: Kether + Chokmah + Binah // (1 + 2 + 3) - Triangle that governs Love and relationships in humanity. This love can be seen reflected in that Chokmah and Binah are the “loving sephira”. Success Triangle: Chesed + Geburah + Tiphereth // (4 + 5 + 6) - Triangle that governs emotions, actions, feelings, behaviour, conditions or criteria. As it also rules over the qualities of a person. Lower Triangle: Netzach + Hod + Yesod // (7 + 8 + 9) - Triangle that balances polarity and governs the flow of people’s energy. It governs self-knowledge.

Researching and working on the Qabalah is a fascinating journey in which it transforms or rather amplifies our perspective of the world in which we form and the things that compose it. It reveals aspects of our interior that we never knew could exist, and that will affect all levels of our life. Kabbalah simply teaches you that if you are able to connect directly with the creator itself, you will find your inner makeup. That is the goal, when it is achieved no guidance is necessary
