Whoever Controls Your Time Controls Your Mind (The Calendar Creates Perception)
For the Mayan civilisation -according to the Spanish Franciscan Antonio de Ciudad Real-, the creator of the universe -a great mind that contains everything, where everything lives and is interconnected- was called Hunab Ku. The Franciscan supposedly invented the concept using a Mayan dictionary in order to convert the indigenous people of Yucatán to Christianity, where it meant simply spirit or the one god. The only abstract and invisible god, creator of the world, of the gods, heaven and earth, and also of human beings -related to Kukulkán-. Hunab Ku manifested in the form of waves. Waves of information, of sound, of light, waves of frequency, of vibration and of thought. According to the Mayans, the world was created, destroyed and rebuilt on at least three consecutive occasions: The first world was created for the geniuses, the builders of cities. The second world was inhabited by a strange human race known as Dzolob, which some time later was also destroyed by a flood. And on the third occasion, the creator and maker populated the world with the Mayans, with whom he was satisfied.
According to the Mayan codices -those who wrote them-, Hunab Ku sent energy through the central sun of the universe called Alcyone, which in turn passed through our Sun Kinich Ahau -which means: the Lord of the eye (or face) of the Sun (Anelma), husband of Ixchel, the Moon. Also known as god G-. This energy changed daily according to the solar seal and the lunar tone, as well as the lunar and solar month itself. The Mayans understood time as circular -cyclical rather than linear- and at the same time mental. They said: “Whoever has your time has your mind, connecting with cosmic time, we connect with our own time and with our inner nature.” They dedicated themselves to investigating and studying the cosmos, and to keeping track of time and its cycles. Living in the here and now meant connecting with the harmony and flow of the universe. They theorised or deduced that Kinich Ahau orbited around Alcyone -in the constellation of the Pleiades- and that this orbit took 26,000 years, this being a galactic day. This cycle of 26,000 years was divided into five parts: Dawn, Fullness, Afternoon, Sunset, and Nightfall. They designed other smaller calendars such as the solar year Habb -28 months of 20 days and one month of 5 days-, the lunar year -13 moons of 28 days- or the Tzolkin of 260 days, considered the sacred agricultural calendar -13 tones or vibrations combined with 20 solar seals-.
